2014 Iditarod - Jeff King

Up until the last leg of the race, Veteran Musher Jeff King seemed poised to win Iditarod 42. However, in an incredible twist of fate, Jeff had to scratch, so close to the finish line. Jeff had 12 dogs left on his team at that time.

Veteran Musher Jeff King finished in 3rd place behind Aliy Zirkle and Mitch Seavy. He reached Nome in approximately 9 days and 9 hours, with 11 dogs left on his team.

Veteran Musher Jeff King had to drop out of the race at Unalakleet. He had 13 dogs on his team when he made the decision to scratch.

2010 Iditarod - Jeff King


Iditarod XXXVIII is the farewell race for Veteran Musher Jeff King. At age 54, the beloved Alaskan icon is ready to surrender its dog team after this final adventure. He finished in third place in the 2010 Iditarod, behind Lance Mackey and Hans Gatt.





Jeff King finished in 12 place in the 2009 Iditarod, and has won the prestigious race 4 times prior to Iditarod XXXVIII.

2010 Iditarod - On the Trail


Jeff is trying to beat long time rival Lance Mackey who has swept 3 consecutive victories in the 2007, 2008 and 2009 races.

Jeff King brings well over 3 decades of mushing experience to this year's race.
The 4-time Iditarod Champion was on the verge of obtaining his 5th victory in 2008, when his dream collapsed in the final leg of the race. That year, Jeff finished 2nd, behind Lance Mackey. Now in 2009, he vows to get is revenge.
