Musher Rick Swenson is from Two Rivers, a town located in Interior Alaska.

Risk is a well known figure in the world of long distance mushing, having participated in 33 Iditarod races, winning 5 times (1977, 1979, 1981, 1982 and 1991). In the 1978 Iditarod, he lost the race by just 1 second behind Dick Mackey. In his Iditarod career, he finished 24 times in the top ten, including his rookie race. Rick has an impressive track record.
