Aliy Zirkle finished in 2nd place once again, a third time in a row. Last year, she lost to Mitch Seavey, while this year, she was second to Dallas Seavey by roughly 2 minutes.

Aliy Zirkle finished in 2nd place once again, a repeat of last year's race. Zirkle lost to Mitch Seavey by only 23 minutes, crossing the finish line with 10 dogs on her team.

Veteran Musher Aliy Zirkle who held on to the lead for several days, finished in 2nd place with 10 dogs on her team, just one hour behind Dallas Seavey. Aliy has competed every year since 2001, and made her best run in 2012. Aliy crossed the finish line in Nome in 9 days, 5 hours and 29 minutes.

Her husband, Allen Moore is also an Iditarod Musher. Aliy and Allen run separate kennels in Two Rivers, a small community in interior Alaska.

Musher Aliy Zirkle finished the 2011 Iditarod in 11th place behind Jessie Royer. She arrived in Nome after 9 days, 10 hours and 22 minutes.

Aliy has participated every year in the Iditarod since her rookie race in 2001.

Veteran Musher Aliy Zirkle is from Two Rivers, Alaska. She has participated in every Iditarod races since 2001, with a best finish in 11th place in 2005. In 2010 Iditarod, she finished in 16th place.
